Heidi takes yet another trip to ER

As Ashley was trying to swing with no hands.. so she would'nt endanger a "tough to catch" ladybug.... she fell off of the swing and landed into Heidi. She smashed her chin into some bricks and we ended up making a run for the ER. I tried to take her myself but... as usual... I started to faint as i got Heidi into the car.... So the whole family made the trek this time. Fortunately they were able to "glue" her and didn't have to use stitches and miraculously we were only in there for 40 minutes.

Dan wanted to reinact the fall... and Heidi wanted me to take a picture of her Aeriel sticker she got from the Doc. You would think after spending $700 - $800 you would walk away with more than stickers and glue.....????

Shark Attack

We had a fatal shark attack in Solana Beach on Friday Morning. A man was swimming with 10 other swimmers in Triathalon training (swimming in the middle of the group) and a great white attacked and killed him. This is very rare. They were swimming 150 yards off shore. Now..... whose coming to visit??

Birthday Jaunt in St.George, UT

Last week we ventured to St.George, UT to celebrate Dan's 40th Birthday. (in complete oblivion he still thinks that 50 is the Big ONE!.. wonder what he will come up with when he's 50) We started off the stay with Dan regressing back to when he was 12 and meeting up with his friend Ray a.k.a. Geeb. They lit off rockets and flew remote control airplanes. Although.... they took advantage of their age and bought a rocket that you have to be over the age of 18 to buy... which can break the sound barrier.

Although it was fun, there is just so much a girl can take of model rockets..etc...we girls hung out for a few and then went to check in on my sister Jennet who just had her 3 week old baby. The girls went nuts over the little guy and fought to see who could hold him the most... evenHeidi!

Other than Dan's birthday, we were in St. George to meet 2 new babies in the family. Sis. Jennet & Brad's baby Jacob. And Bro. John & Amanda's newly adopted baby Rozalyn.

We had time to go on a nice hike to Red Cliffs. The kids love to hike and explore. Emily collected caterpillers along the way and had a half dozen in a taco bell bag by the middle of the hike. This hike was fun because you eventually come to water narrows and you have to take your shoes off and go barefoot or hike in shoes in the water. It was alot of fun & a beautiful spot.

We did some swimming at the hotel and had a pizza party for Dan. He

did one of his gigantic belches in the restauraunt causing the owner to

run out of the back room laughing hysterically. His burps are so loud

they have the effect of turning pure repulsion into sheer amazement.

I had Ray bring a cake down from Glaus Bakery in Salt Lake City,

Dan's absolute favorite.

We ended the trip with some off-roading courtesy of Bro. John.




Reed actually got to drive this time and was a little hesitant.. which in the long run... is a good thing.

Drowning in Laundry

Is anyone coming to help? I've got 7 clean loads and 10 dirty. Believe it or not, it was all done last monday.

My own personal traffic jam.

Many of my fellow drivers were mad at me on the last day of January. After all of my hours of sitting in traffic through the years I figured it was my turn to distract some drivers and therefore "rear-ended" a tatoo artist in front of me. What you can't see from this picture very well is the 8 lanes of traffic I brought to a crawl.... oh ... the power. I conveniently planned this in front of one of my favorite stores IKEA so I could look at the blue and yellow store for the hours I waited for the police and tow truck to show up. Dan came to my aid and shot these pictures (to use against me) and ... cleaned up another one of my messes... as he likes to put it. This one was totally my fault so we will see in June how mad the insurance co. is when they raise my premiums. Luckily... Dan was just happy I hadn't taken his car that day.

We have a Blog.... if anyone cares.

Well... we finally have a blog. I dont like saying the word blog... it sounds like it is a dirty word. Dan says the house is a mess and I don't have time for this. So if I post once a year, its because I dont have time for it. Quite frankly, the house will be a mess until Heidi turns 14 and can clean up after herself. (And the house was a mess when there was just two of us). We will try to track the goings on for friends and family far away so you know more about what we are up to. I am going to maybe get the kids to post too.
